Our Goals

Our Goals

  • Provide leadership to school districts within Lassen County through the formation of a consortium. Such consortium will be called the Lassen County Special Education Local Plan Area, and consist of district superintendents from each school district in Lassen County.
  • Provide a wide range of comprehensive services to participating school districts and individuals with exceptional needs residing within Lassen County.
  • Provide an effective and efficient delivery system of special education and related services to individuals with exceptional needs residing in the geographical area served by the plan.
  • Provide a needs-based individualized special education program and/or related services in the least restrictive environment for all individuals with exceptional needs, ages 0-22 years.
  • Provide a system for data collection, evaluation, and reporting, which includes information for Federal and State audits and program evaluation as mandated by Federal and State regulations.
